What Trump said to the media: fire words

Home

US President Donald Trump criticized the media on Thursday and accused him of misinterpreting remarks he made about the violence in Charlottesville.

"People are once again discovering the degree of dishonesty in counterfeit news," Trump wrote on Twitter. They completely misinterpreted what I said about hatred and intolerance, etc. disadvantage!".

Violent clashes broke out between supporters of the theory of white supremacy on the one hand and anti-racist protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing one woman and wounding 19 when a suspected Nazi sympathizer drove into his car.

Republican politicians have criticized Trump's remarks in which he blamed the violence on both sides.

Trump also criticized Senators Lindsey Graham and Jeff Glick of the Republican Party.

"Lindsay Graham, who is seeking to appear, falsely said that I said there was moral equality between the Ku Klux Klan group, neo-Nazis and white supremacists, and people like Ms. Hier," he said, referring to Heather Hier, 32, Charlottesville Saturday.
